Private Lessons
Megan has been teaching drum and percussion lessons for over 10 years, interacting with students between ages 6 and adult. Whether you're completely new to music, hitting a plateau in advancing your drumming, or looking to dive into niche percussion topics, Megan is excited to help you achieve your own musical goals and acquire skills that will help you enjoy a lifetime of musicianship.
Megan's teaching style is catered to each student's learning style while still promoting development in topics such as note reading, playing by ear, music theory, and playing with proper technique. She provides a fun, laid-back, and creative approach to learning drumset and different percussion instruments such as mallet instruments, concert or marching percussion, hand drums, or steel pan. Megan also gives group masterclasses and clinics in the topics listed above.
In-person Lessons
Megan teaches lessons in the Southeastern Wisconsin area at her studio and group lessons at local schools and community centers.
Online Lessons
Online lessons are held via Zoom (or if a student needs, an alternative like Google Meet, Skype, or Facetime). Each lesson features multiple camera angles and professional quality audio.
It is required of students to have the following for an online lesson:
- A stable WiFi connection
- A laptop or tablet as well as headphones and a microphone*
- A comfy and distraction-free environment that includes your instrument and/or practice pad
